Transaction Limits

Firma Operations AG · Last updated September 10, 2026

Summary

Access to Firma's services — including adding funds and withdrawing by SIC, SEPA, SWIFT, ACH, and Fedwire — requires your acceptance of this Transaction Limits Policy.

Incoming transfers that exceed monthly funding limits, originate from sanctioned countries, or are linked to flagged accounts will be blocked and returned on the originating rail, with a fee deducted from the incoming transfer (Fr. 5 on SIC, SEPA, and ACH; Fr. 25 on SWIFT; Fr. 10 on Fedwire).

Return fees are borne by the sender. Firma does not reimburse these fees and bears no cost or liability for blocked or returned transfers.

Higher limits can be requested via the Contact Support function in the Limits section. Our compliance team will perform enhanced due diligence, which may include proof of funds and additional verification. Increases are approved on a case-by-case basis.

Firma is a regulated financial technology company, not a bank. Regulated banking services are provided through banking partners.

At Firma, we maintain Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) controls in accordance with the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), its implementing ordinances, and international standards. These include monthly limits on adding funds and withdrawals, applied equally to funding and withdrawal.

1. Transaction limits

Adding funds and withdrawals are subject to equal standard monthly limits. These caps are fixed and form part of our risk-based controls. They apply across SIC, SEPA, SWIFT, ACH, and Fedwire.

2. Exceeding limits

Transfers that exceed the applicable limit will be rejected and returned on the rail they arrived on.

Return fees

Return fees are deducted automatically from the incoming bank transfer: SIC Fr. 5, SEPA Fr. 5, ACH Fr. 5, Fedwire Fr. 10, SWIFT Fr. 25.

Return fees are borne by the sender. Firma does not reimburse these fees and bears no cost or liability for blocked or returned transfers.

Return timing

Returned payments are processed by your bank and intermediary financial institutions, not by Firma Operations AG. Once a transfer is rejected, the funds are sent back through the banking network. Return timing varies by bank and payment rail and is outside Firma's control.

Stablecoin transactions (e.g., USDC) exceeding limits are blocked.

3. Limit increases

Requests for higher limits can be submitted via the Contact Support function in the Limits section. Our compliance team will perform enhanced due diligence. Increases are approved on a case-by-case basis.

4. Sanctions and illegal activity

Incoming transfers from sanctioned countries, sanctioned persons, or in connection with illegal activity are blocked and returned, with the applicable fee deducted. Firma does not service the jurisdictions listed on Restricted countries.

Any such transfer, and any account used in connection with it or in an attempt to circumvent these controls, is subject to review. Reviews may include filing official reports with the competent authorities. See AML & CTF.

5. Flagged accounts

Transfers from accounts flagged for criminal misconduct, sanctions violations, illegal activity, or terrorism financing will be rejected and returned. The account on Firma is then reviewed. These measures form part of our KYC/AML framework.
